Mastering the concerto – International masterclasses for soloists
Jul 18 – Jul 31 all-day

What if there were a conducting course that provided conductors with
the opportunity to work with soloist and professional orchestra on two complete concertos? What if there were a course for soloists that gave them the opportunity to work with a conductor and professional orchestra on two complete concertos? What if this course also included daily instruction and mentoring from prominent conductors and soloists plus
two public concerts featuring all participating students? The International Institute for Conductors faculty posed these questions and answered with the creation of Mastering the Concerto, a groundbreaking intensive course that pairs conductors with aspiring soloists for 12 days of study, instruction and performance.
